Calling All Sports Tournaments

Did we meet you over the Labor Day weekend at the football tournament at Mid Rivers? We met so many great kids, parents, coaches and families there!

We're looking forward to bringing sports photography to many of the teams we met over the weekend, teams that traveled in to the tournament from near and far.

I was recently at a party to celebrate Patty Long Catering's 25th Anniversary---- thanks for the great time to all of the hard working staff!

I needed to cut loose a bit as well, if you follow me on Facebook (and if you don't, please do!!!) the party was the day after I fb'd about meeting the finest in uniform coming through Glendale. We don't have to talk any more about it, right?

We're busy processing sports, hard at work and being serious. Mostly. 

The Streets of St. Charles

The Streets of St. Charles a long awaited construction project from Brinkmann, I've been excited to be part of this from the beginning and eagerly anticipate how it will look each time I photograph the ongoing construction.

The site of The Streets of St. Charles is located where the old Noah's Ark used to be,

 demolished in 2007-----  and up comes this new dynamic development.

Football Tournament Holiday Weekend

We'll be busy with all hands on deck this long holiday weekend at the Mid-Rivers Football Holiday Tournament!

Kardashian Wedding---- Over the Top Indeed

There have been so many things to say about the Kardashian wedding from the beautiful Vera Wang dresses (THREE of them) to the magnificent aisle runner (196 feet of Swarovski crystal studded wonderment) to the celebrity studded event. We think the interesting thing is how this wedding will impact the weddings to come in the US and beyond. What trends will be set, how will the look (or not) be followed? We think that aisle runners will continue to grow in importance coming a long way from their first plain white, often plastic inception. A very good thing if you ask the heels that have been snagged or the people who have slipped or tripped! The strong resurgence of the 'second gown' will more than likely be seen as brides want to change into a second wedding look at the reception.

One of the most interesting things to be said about the wedding, dubbed America's Royal Wedding by some pundits, is the monetization of the event. Was the wedding over the top? Absolutely, but over the top by a bride, groom and family who had it in their budget to do so. Amazingly and worth note is the way that this wedding will actually MAKE money! Who knew? It certainly takes the dollar dance to a whole new level doesn't it?  :)  It will be worth following how 'normal' brides and grooms search for a revenue stream for their own weddings.
